Background & Philosophy

My sporting background was in rugby, whilst I now train to compete in Olympic weightlifting.

My main passion in life is training, researching and coaching. My experience has seen me coach athletes from many different disciplines including, The Gold winning GB inline hockey, GB cadet judo world champion, national and international Rugby, MMA, and performance swimming.

I have 2 main philosophies, ‘if you’re the smartest person in the room you’re in the wrong room’ which was the driving force behind my involvement with KBT, secondly ‘Context not concepts’ I believe pretty much everything can be a tool for athletic development if it is used in the right context, but the context in which is it used is normally always more important than the concept.
